Promissa knows about waiting on God’s promise despite the circumstances. The group comprised of three sisters: Cynthia Matos-Medina, Priscilla Matos and Milca Matos has had to learn to trust in God’s word and endure all kinds of obstacles through their faith. Born in the United States and raised in the Dominican Republic they are a great example of how two cultures can be fused together. This cultural fusion is what makes their signature refreshing sound. From a very young age these three sisters have had a passion for music. Their parents, Pastors Julian Matos and Milagros Matos identified very early on their musical inclination as a gift from God and have supported them since then. Their most enjoyable moments growing up somehow always involved music. They became part of children’s groups, which performed around the Dominican Republic becoming then an option for children entertainment. Time passed by and they grew up and with them their imperative need of having their dream of making their own music become a reality. Destiny brought them back to the United States where they continued to pursue their dream while working with praise and worship groups as singers vocal arrangers. They were also part of different Latin Christian groups and provided background vocals for several Latin Gospel artists as well. A event marked their lives for ever when a man of God spoke God’s promise over their lives. This promise revealed that through their music they would impact their generation in a supernatural way. That promise makes PROMISSA. Today their dream is a reality and Promissa releases their first album “Poquito a Poco”. This album combines both cultures by giving a taste of the island with soulful melodies. Their impressive harmonies bring something new to the Latin Christian music industry. The result, a refreshing experience for the listener. Written and co-produced by Promissa, they give you their word that these songs will touch every fiber of your being in a very special way. That’s a promise!
Thanks for the promo...primo :)
